Our Team

Ashley Bendoff, Principal, has over nine years of development experience as Development and Public Relations Coordinator at a Saint Louis nonprofit and as a consultant responsible for grant writing, community relations and special event planning. She is a graduate of the University of Dayton, with a degree in Communications and is a member of the Community Service Public Relations Council and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.

Edward Higgins, Principal has over twenty-five years' experience in nonprofit leadership and governance. He has chaired the Boards of two major Saint Louis charitable organizations and served on the Board and Development Committees of several others. During his career in the corporate sector, Ed served as Chair of two of the largest foundations in Saint Louis, reviewing thousands of proposals and authorizing over $65 million in grants. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from Fordham University and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Saint Louis Planned Giving Council.

Ellen Myers, Principal, joins Ashwood after a successful twenty year marketing career in the publishing and nonprofit sectors. She has served as a board member and as development staff for pre-school programs, secondary schools, performing arts groups and museums where she was responsible for donor acquisition, renewal and retention programs, special events and community relations. She is a graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent and is a past member of AFP.
